Made using grapes from old vines on the slopes, this Saint-Joseph is a good expression of Syrah's distinctive character: gentle spices, candied black fruit and tobacco, whilst powerful and balanced on the palate.

This wine is exceedingly complex and deep through being ample and pure on the palate, with spicy and very mature tannins. A Saint-Joseph made for keeping! 

The shale sub-soil gives smoky notes to the usual fruity touches. On the palate, it is ample, rounded and velvety, before a wonderfully fresh finish. A thoroughbred wine!

The estate has taken advantage of this vintage's characteristics to propose a white wine with a balance between body and freshness. The yellow fruit aromas fill the palate before a finish evocative of star anise and white pepper. A fine achievement.
